Purpose
Australia Isn't Real uses a clearly false premise to teach source evaluation, falsifiability, provenance, independent verification and the difference between skepticism and reflexive disbelief.
Editorial rules
- Conspiracy claims are labelled as claims, not facts.
- Primary sources are preferred when available.
- Wikipedia is treated as an orientation layer, not a final authority.
- Academic findings are summarised with design and replication caveats where relevant.
- Images are credited and linked to their source/licence information.
- The site does not host or request payment card data; Stripe handles checkout.
Why the top banner is everywhere
Research and professional guidance on misinformation emphasise the risks of repeating a false claim without a clear correction. Because the brand name itself repeats the myth, the site explicitly states the accurate fact at the top of every page.
